Olight Arkfeld Pro
Olight is one of the MOST popular producers of consumer flashlights. Their marketing is as excellent as their product quality, and their attention to detail is commendable.
If you want anything related to lights, you can bet your bottom dollar that Olight has got you covered. They make everything from tactical lights to gun lights to lamps and lanterns. They are now also branching out into making products like pens and knives!
The Olight Arkfeld Pro is the third version of the relatively recent and top-rated series of Arkfeld models. The first Arkfeld model is a flat flashlight that allows you to switch between a white LED and a green laser in the blink of an eye.
With the next model, the Arkfeld UV, Olight replaced the green laser with a UV LED. I know what you’re thinking. Where’s the light for people who want both the UV LED and the green laser? That’s where the new Arkfeld Pro comes in!
The third Arkfeld model is an everyday carry flashlight that conveniently parcels together a white LED, a green laser, and a UV LED. This EDC flashlight is portable, user-friendly, and rechargeable- but let’s get into it in more detail below!

What Comes in the Package?
While some Olight flashlights come in a royal affair of packaging with two-part nested containers and images of the light, others come in nice but less flashy packages. The latter are usually EDC flashlights.
The Arkfeld Pro comes in one of the more modest packages, and inside the inner plastic tray are the following contents:
Olight Arkfeld Pro Build
Let’s take a closer look at the Olight Arkfeld Pro build!
Olight Arkfeld Pro Build Quality
While most flashlights are cylindrical or cylindrical with cones at the end, the Arkfeld Pro is a self-contained light, which makes it super cool and uniquely built.
It has a unique shape and an integral battery and charger. It also boasts mode switching between the three lighting modes available with an intuitive circular selector.
This EDC flashlight is not much to look at at first glance. It is flat and rectangular, resembling a small TV remote. The light is rounded at the top and bottom so that it feels more natural in your grip. The Arkfeld Pro has the same two-way pocket clip as the Arkfeld UV and the same texture on the sides of the light.
The textured sides help with traction when removing the flashlight from your pocket. The Olight Arkfeld Pro is well-built, as is the case with most (if not all) Olight products.
It is built mainly of AL6061-T6 aluminum with an anodized coating. The other parts of the light (like the selector, retaining ring, clip, and button) are made of stainless steel. The switch of the Pro model is quite fascinating. However, it closely resembles the previous models for the most part.
The switch has an outer ring and a button in the center. The center button is an e-switch that lets you turn the light on/off, change the mode, and enter lockout mode. The outer ring is known as the “selector switch,” which allows you to switch between the white light, UV light, and the laser.
The ring rotates between three positions, with two nubs on top for ease of rotation. Slotting the selector to the left gives you the UV light, and rotating it to the right gives you the white LED output. Slotting the selector in the middle activates the laser.
Physically, the Arkfeld Pro is bigger than its preceding models. It also clocks a weight that is 28% higher. This is understandably owing to the additional light source and the 43% increase in battery capacity. The white light is 1,300 lumens of very floody light, making it great for everyday carry.
The UV light is 365 nm, which is fantastic for stain detection, currency validation, and more. If you have pet cats, the laser is a godsend. My cat loves to play with the laser, and it keeps her occupied for hours on end! The laser is also great for doing presentations.
LED, Bezel, Lens, Beam, and Reflector
Gone are the days when Olight only offered cool white light emitters because the Arkfeld Pro is available in either Cool White (5700-6700K) or Neutral White (4000K-5000K).
The LED model is labeled on the underside of the light, and the primary LED is an OSRAM P9. This isn’t anything to write home about, but it works just fine.
The UV LED that the Arkfeld Pro carries is a Luminus SST-10-UV. It is rated at 900mW of power and is stated to have a runtime of 5 hrs and 15 mins. The wavelength of the UV light is 365nm.
While this wavelength is ideal, the clear glass lets some visible light shine through. So, if you’re in it for the best possible UV experience, this is not the light for you. However, this light will serve you well if you are mainly concerned with everyday use.
The green laser comes in two varieties, namely the Class 3R (<= 5mW) and the Class 1 (<= 0.39mW) laser. The variety you get will depend on the country you purchase your light from. This is because some countries don’t allow Class 3 lasers.
Dimensions
The table below summarizes the dimensions of the Arkfeld Pro, rounded to the nearest millimeter and the nearest tenth of an inch.
Millimeters | Inches | |
Length | 120 mm | 4.7 in |

The Olight Arkfeld Pro weighs 111 grams (3.9 ounces) with its built-in battery.

User Interface and Driver
Apart from the selector switch, the UI of the Arkfeld Pro is easy to learn and use if you’re familiar with e-switch lights.
This EDC flashlight has five light modes:
For blink modes, this flashlight offers Strobe mode.
To enter different light modes from when Arkfeld Pro is switched off, follow the steps detailed below:
To enter the different light modes offered when the Olight Arkfeld Pro is already switched on, follow the steps below:
Here is a rundown on how mode memory works in the Olight Arkfeld Pro:
Shortcuts you can use with the Arkfeld Pro are as follows:
The low voltage warnings and protection works as detailed below:
The Olight Arkfeld Pro does not have PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). Some cool things about the Arkfeld Pro EDC flashlight include the fact that you can turn on the white light LED while the laser pointer is switched on.
This is typical of weapon-mounted lights but not of EDC flashlights. Regardless, this is a useful feature to have. There is also a handy-dandy Timer mode, which is usually the case in any Olight product.
The following is how you can activate the timer:
Charging and Batteries
This EDC flashlight is powered by a Lithium Polymer battery, which is a built-in battery. According to Olight, the capacity of this Lithium Polymer battery is 5.55 Wh (1500 mAh/ 3.7V).
Olight also states that the charge rate using the provided Olight MCC (magnetic charging cable) is 1 amp and that a charge cycle should take approximately 2 hours. I can confirm this is accurate, as my tests showed a charge rate of 0.88 amps (4.53W) and a charge cycle of 2 hours and 47 minutes.
Olight Arkfeld Pro Performance
Modes and Lumen Measurements
Lux was determined by a UNI-T UT383 BT at 5 meters, and lumens were measured using a homemade VEML7700 sensor.
Mode | Specifications | Measured Upon Switching On | 30 Sec | 10 Minutes |
Moon | 1 lm | |||
Low | 15 lm | |||
Med | 100 lm | 87 lm | 83 lm | 82 lm |
High | 420 lm | 400 lm | 399 lm | 397 lm |
Turbo | 1300 lm | 1288 lm | 1262 lm | 390 lm |
I tended to measure output that was around 10% lower than the specification with other lights in the Arkfeld series. However, the Olight Arkfeld Pro delivers an output that is remarkably close to the specs, which is amazing!
Battery Life
The table below summarizes runtimes, measured according to ANSI FL1 standards.
Mode | Specified runtime | Measured runtime | Time till shut off |
Moon | 11 days | – | – |
Low | 55 hrs | – | – |
Med | 9 hrs 45 mins | 10 hrs | 10 hrs |
High | 2 hrs 27 mins | 2 hrs 25 mins | 2 hrs 25 mins |
Turbo | 2 hrs 10 mins | 2 hrs 9 mins | 2 hrs 15 mins |
UV | 5 hrs 15 mins | – | – |
Laser- Class 3R | 61 hrs | – | – |
Laser- Class 1 | 174 hrs | – | – |
I found the actual runtimes of this Olight product to be in line with the specified runtimes, which is pretty good considering its higher maximum brightness levels of white light, laser, and UV.
The Arkfeld Pro can run for as long as (and even more) than the original Arkfeld models, even with the higher output, thanks to its larger battery.
Beam Intensity and Distance Measurements
A UNI-T UT383 BT lux meter was used to measure peak beam intensity at 5 meters after turning the light on for 30 seconds.
Mode | Specifications | Candela measured | Meters | Yards |
Moon | 1 cd | – | ||
Low | 31 cd | 30 cd | 13 m | 14 yd |
Medium | 210 cd | 187 cd | 29 m | 31 yd |
High | 971 cd | 931 cd | 63 m | 68 yd |
Turbo | 2,608 cd | 2,928 cd | 110 m | 120 yd |
Like the brightness levels, the beam intensity values closely match the specified values. The Arkfeld Pro clocks the same intensity level as the original Arkfeld at 2,560 cd. On the other hand, the Arkfeld UV has a lower intensity of 1,808 cd.

Final Thoughts
The Olight Arkfeld Pro sure is a treat for any flashlight enthusiast!
It’s not one, not two, but three lights in one!
The light quality and output of the white light, UV, and laser are all improved from the previous Arkfeld models. Despite the greater weight of the light, it’s still super handy as an EDC flashlight, as it fits easily into pant pockets.
Trust me when I say this is THE white light, laser, and UV light combo flashlight that you absolutely have to get your hands on!
